Open Bar

Bar service where all drinks are paid for by the hosts

Definition

An open bar is a bar service arrangement where the wedding hosts pay for all alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages served to guests. This is the most common and generous bar option at weddings. Open bars can be structured as full open bar (all spirits, wine, beer, and cocktails), limited open bar (beer and wine only), or premium open bar (top-shelf spirits). The cost is typically calculated per person per hour or as a package rate.
