The walk down the aisle at the start of the ceremony

Definition

The processional is the formal entrance of the wedding party down the aisle at the beginning of the ceremony. The traditional order is typically: officiant, grandparents, parents, groom and groomsmen, bridesmaids, ring bearer, flower girl, and finally the bride (often escorted by her father or another family member). Music accompanies the processional, with the bride's entrance often marked by a change in song.
