A save-the-date is an advance notice sent to guests 6-12 months before the wedding (or earlier for destination weddings) to inform them of the wedding date and location so they can make travel arrangements and clear their calendars. Save-the-dates can be cards, magnets, postcards, or digital notifications. They are not formal invitations and do not include RSVP information or detailed event logistics.
