Thank you cards are handwritten notes sent by the couple to every guest who attended the wedding or sent a gift. Etiquette traditionally calls for thank you cards to be sent within three months of the wedding. Each note should mention the specific gift received and how the couple plans to use it. Pre-printed cards with personal handwritten messages are considered appropriate.
