Bouquet Toss

Tradition where the bride throws her bouquet to unmarried guests

Definition

The bouquet toss is a wedding tradition where the bride turns her back to a group of unmarried female guests and tosses her bridal bouquet over her shoulder. The person who catches it is said to be the next to marry. Many modern brides use a separate toss bouquet to preserve their primary bouquet. Some couples skip this tradition or adapt it to be more inclusive.
